Deposit and cancellation policy

A non-refundable deposit of 30% taken at the time of booking by credit/debit card with the outstanding balance payable 6 weeks prior to arrival. This cannot be refunded in the event of a cancellation. Full payment is required at the time of booking for short breaks. We would advise our guests to take out holiday insurance in case of cancellation due to unforeseen circumstances.

Damage to barns

Any breakages or damage incurred to the property will be charged for.

Parking

There is ample parking in the designated car park and we would kindly ask that cars be left here other than when arriving and leaving to facilitate unloading and loading; all cars are left at owners risk.

Payment for extras

Payment due on presentation of bill - cheques and major credit cards accepted.

Changeover timing

Cottages available from 4pm onwards. Occupants must be checked out by 10am. We try however to be flexible where we can so do ask at the time of booking.

Credit Card Payments

We operate a 2% charge for all credit card transactions.

Dogs

£25 extra per week. We prefer not to have dogs in Apple House & Tractor barn because they have oak/carpet flooring but will consider on a case by case dependent on breed and age. Call us before you book and we'll let you know.

 

 

Eggs & Cider

We provide eggs free of charge in our welcome hamper and we have scrumpy in the old barn available at any time without charge. Because we are not a large/commercial producer of eggs we don't have to comply with regulations as laid down from time to time by The British Egg Council. We maintain our flock in hygienic conditions and of course ensure they have quality pellets and fresh water; you can see this for yourself. We are obliged to point out to our guests however that they consume our eggs and cider entirely at their own risk and that they should be aware of best practice when it comes to preparing eggs, particularly for the very young, the elderly and those with a history of digestive problems.

 

Other terms

Start dates are Saturdays, however we will try to be flexible on the arrival and departure dates, where possible, to suit your requirements.

We would also like to point out that it is our guest responsibility to supervise their children, dogs and any other pets at all times. We do not accept responsibility for any accidents involving our animals, fences, ponds or river.

 

 

We can provide stairgates but guests use these at their own risk and are welcome to bring their own. Guests must check they are happy with the installation of stairgates on arrival.
