All five luxury Barns are furnished to an exceptional standard with many quirky individual touches that will help make your stay relaxing and enjoyable. They have been converted using traditional building materials such as lime plaster, oak lintels and slate floor tiles but at the same time provide exceptional levels of comfort with underfloor heating throughout, woodburners in each barn, kitchens equipped with the most modern appliances and wall mounted flatscreen home cinema systems. Four of our barns now have their own private hot tubs. For a full list of what we provide, go to our Information section at the bottom of this page.

Apple House has its own six seater Hot Springs Flair Hot Tub and Orchard Barn has a Sundance four seater Hot Tub. Tractor Barn has an eight seater Hot Springs Pulse and Cow barn has a 6 seater HotSprings Flair hot tub. All of these are top end luxury hot tubs that have expert cleaning systems so that the water is always pure and fresh.

All our barns have been awarded with either a Four or Five Star Gold rating by Visit Britain which puts some of them in the top 2% of self-catering properties in the UK..

Use the link below for a 360 degree virtual tour of all of our barns.

In the summer months we usually have horses in one of our fields and they like nothing more than a visit from our guests, preferable with carrots or apples. Riding in the area is popular and we can arrange a day trekking for all of the family, irrespective of experience - see our activities page for details.

We love dogs and have six of our own (four flatcoated retrievers and two terriers) and welcome you to bring yours with you on holiday. They can be accommodated in all of our barns and if you need to borrow a crate, extra towels etc, just ask us. We have 12 acres of fields and river frontage which makes walking them a breeze and we can tell you where the best local walks and longer trails on Dartmoor can be found. We also have brand new kennels so if you prefer to leave your dogs in there, you're welcome to use them. We can also take care of your dog/s if you can't always take them with you.

We produce fresh chicken, duck and goose eggs every day and children are welcome to help us collect the eggs every day. The chickens usually head down the field towards the barns and wait to be fed so we have some corn waiting in the old barn for our younger guests.

Our orchard produces enough apples for us to press about 100 gallons of cider a year and we keep a barrel available at no charge for our guests to help themselves. Its delicious straight from the barrel but also nice if you want to mix it with lemonade. And if you come in October you're welcome to come and press the apples with us at Cowslip Workshops.

Four of our five barns have private hot tubs - Apple House, Tractor Barn, Orchard Barn and Cow Barn, all of these new in 2013/2014. We think you'll love the 39degrees of warm, soft and clean water after that long day of walking on Dartmoor.

These are the brand new kennels that your dogs are free to use in case you need to go somewhere and can't take them with you; and we'll watch out for them/feed them too.
