We stayed in the Tractor barn for 5 nights, 3 generations and a very happy dog, Sylvia is super helpful and friendly but not intrusive, there’s plenty of outside space for all ages and dogs to enjoy, the accommodation is of a really high standard, extremely clean and the extra touches of fresh flowers, eggs and homemade cake are really nice, treats and a ball for the very happy dog. This was our fourth visit and hopefully won’t be out last. The hot tub was fantastic, warm, clean and the perfect place to enjoy the peace and quiet along with the stars.

The Cow Barn was clean, comfortable and well maintained. The peaceful setting was perfect, yet close enough to nearby amenities. And the thoughtful touches from Sylvia made us feel very welcome. We had a lovely stay and would definitely return.

Lovely welcome with fresher than fresh eggs, flowers, wine and home made cake with everything you could want or need at the barn for a wonderful two week stay. Outside space a bonus with enclosed garden, immaculately kept hot tub and bbq area, with our dog loving launching herself into what felt like our private river as often as she could. Sylvia and her family were so lovely too and helped make our stay amazing.

We had a wonderful stay at The Cow Barn at Devon Barns and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone seeking a peaceful getaway.​The cottage itself is located in a beautiful, exceptionally tranquil setting. Inside, it was clean, very comfortable, and well equipped with everything we needed for our stay.​The owner was very pleasant and helpful throughout—answering any questions promptly and appropriately while fully respecting our privacy. For local excursions, there are lovely walks straight into nearby Lifton plus Lydford Forge and Forest are only a 15 minute drive away. We particularly enjoyed visiting The Fox and Grapes pub, which serves great pub grub alongside fantastic homemade vegetarian options.​Two quick tips for future guests: bring some warm nightwear as it can get a bit chilly at night, and note that there wasn’t a physical information pack giving details about the cottage, grounds, or local area.​Overall, it was a delightful experience and we would love to return!

On arrival there was a lovely welcome of a cake, fresh flowers, home made apple juice and treats for our dog. This set the tone for a comfortable stay in the beautifully decorated barn, We could have spent the whole time enjoying the luxury of the hot tub, log burner and free standing bath but the beautiful Dartmoor and surrounding countryside needed exploring too . Sylvia was the perfect host, nothing was too much trouble and it was clearly important to her that we had the best time. We did.

Lovely barn and lots of thought gone into getting it ready for Christmas as in beautiful decorated tree, a bottle of champagne, homemade cake, milk in the fridge and eggs from their own hens. Lovely and warm due to underfloor heating and log burner.
Very comfy bed and great pillows. The barns are set in beautiful countryside and surrounding fields were great for walking my Labrador Leo, albeit rather wet one’s as the storms were going on over Christmas !. Sylvia has made it a magical place.

We stayed in Orchard Barn for our annual Christmas getaway. The barn is so cosy and the perfect place to unwind. It has everything we need and more with delicious homemade cake on arrival. Our dog loves it here with the river to swim in and fields to explore. We have stayed multiple times and the experience never lessens and each time we appreciate the barn and setting even more. Our Christmas would not be complete without a visit here.
